Assigning SCOM alerts To Individual RRS feed

  • Hi All,

           We have deployed SCOM server and added our entire team mail ID's to get notification mails from SCOM server. 

    Now as a next step we want these alerts to get assigned to individual team member autimatically, so that Assigne will start working on that alert.

    Kindly let us know the steps to be taken to assign alerts to individuals in the team.

  • Hi Varun,

    SCOM email notification can reach all if you put the team's alias as a subscriber.

    Now if you want that alert to get assigned to a particular team member then the only way to do this is to get a SCOM-ticket connector and then code this in the connector.

    there is no way in SCOM that you assign this to a particular person.

  • do you mean to assign the ticket for an alert assigned to a particular team member?

    If so then you will need a SCOM-TicketingTool connector wherein you will need to code that feature.

    I don't think there is any other way in SCOM to do this directly.

    1) create a subscriber in SCOM admin tab for that user with the email ID of the recipient

    2) create a subscription or edit the existing one to send the email notification to that newly created subscriber.

    Hi Agarwal,

                  We have a 24X7 support team. Now current situation is everybody is getting alerts & no one is working on them ;) , but instead we want everyone to get alert and same alert has to be assigned to one particular team member so that everyone is aware that assignee is working on it..  Is there any way to config alerts in this way.
