OSD Failure - Got TPM error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Team,

While OS Deployment via Task Sequence got error " 0x80284001".

In the SMSTS.logs I could see the below failed description:

     'TakeOwnership' failed (2150121473)

Failed to take ownership of TPM. Ensure that Active Directory permissions are properly configured
An internal error has occurred within the Trusted Platform Module support program. (Error: 80284001; Source: Windows)

Meanwhile I have suggested to upgrade the BIOS.

Could you please suggest is there any other troubleshooting steps for this error.

  • Have you tried clearing the ownership of the TPM first?
