Custom Form won't save when redirect is used RRS feed

    I built a custom form using SharePoint designer 2013.  After a changed the standard save button to the custom save using GenFireServerEvent __commit as shown below:

    <input type="button" value="Save" name="btnSave" onclick="javascript:{ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__commit;__redirect={https://...}')}" />

    When using this it doesn't save data to the list when redirected.  What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Richard,

    I tried to reproduce this issue by creating a new list with a new custom NewForm in SharePoint Designer 2013, when clicking the custom “Save” button, the input values saved to the list and redirect to the destination page:

    I suggest you make another test in another list to see if the issue still persists.
