How to File a Bug/Feedback on Connect RRS feed

  • General discussion

    1. Sign into using your Windows Live ID.
    2. Select the System Center (Operations Manager & Service Manager) connection from the connection directory
    3. In the left navigation pane, click Feedback
    4. Enter a search term in the search textbox and click the magnifying glass to see if your bug has already been filed
    5. Review the search results to see if your bug/feedback has already been filed.  If so, you can click the green up arrow to "up vote" its importance.
    6. If your bug/feedback has not been reported already, click the Submit Feedback button on the left.
    7. Select the appropriate feedback form based on whether you are a Service Manager customer or partner and whether you are filing a bug or feedback.
    8. Fill out the form and click submit

  • I am a VERY literal person, and I guess I am missing something as I cannot follow your directions, so please clarify.

Step 2 - There is no System Center (Operations Manager & Service Manager) choice in the PRODUCT DIRECTORY.   The only product that is close is a SCSM Beta.  I thought we were using an RTM version.   I would think any bugs being logged to a Beta release would be ignored as the version had been superseded.

    Please advise.

Thanks for the comments and the feedback

Nice catch on the name change. I had indeed omitted to change the name of the evaluation program from "Public Beta" once the product launched.

As you also noticed, Service Manager now has its own connect site hence the name change in the product directory. If you search through the list of connections, you should now see System Center Service Manager listed with "SCSM Public Evaluation" shown as an available program.

In case others reading this post are not already registered for this, you can register for this program directly by clicking the following link:

The feedback mechanism will ultimately allow you to indicate whether you are logging a bug against a specific version of shipping code, eg: SCSM 2010, SCSM 2010 SP1 and so on but today we assume you are logging issues against the RTM code. Note that you can go straight to the feedback link for SCSM by clicking the link below and following the instructions provided on the form - you will need to search for existing issues prior to providing feedback as this helps to eliminate duplicate entries.

    Hope this helps

  • Hi,

The submit button appears to have stopped working. I would like to make you aware of this problem.

  • Dear Travis,

I am contacting you for some guidance. I am looking for a SCSM qualified person and have found it impossible to find anyone. I have found very experienced contractors who have advised me that they would be able to pick-up the software as they went along, but I have also been advised that the software has certain ways in which it needs to be configured and without this knowledge, the configuration could be wrong?

Please would you advise me how i can find a list of people who are certified? What Microsoft exams would cover SCSM?

I look for to hearing from you.

    kind regards,

    Caroline Jordan

  • All

The connect feedback links to submit bugs and suggestions should be back up and working - feel free to post a reply if you are still having issues with this

  • Hi Nigel,

I have tried to file a bug on here today and there is nowhere for me to enter feedback, i also cant seem to find any feedback or bugs from previous users. Am i doing something wrong? or has the site closed now?

    Kendle :)

It's not overly obvious where to go, connect needs to improve is this respect.
Anyway, try joining the 'SC 2012 SP1 Evaluation' hub, looks pretty active in there and the button to log feedback is visible unlike some of the other hubs.

  • It now comes under System Center 2012.

Very hard to find browsing through the directory so I have included a link below to the feedback page.

  • This no longer works. Is there any other way to leave a bug report about Service Manager without calling Partner Technical Support and opening a ticket?

  • now it is here

  • Has the site been abandoned with no team actually looking over the tickets?

Because I had uploaded files to the ticket, and they still aren't visible after 3 weeks.
