My static IP network printer suddenly not printing from network RRS feed

  • My static IP network printer suddenly not printing from network.we moved the printer from one end to other end.im unable to find the IP config details in the config page printed. Tested my ethernet cable and ethernet port and restarted the printer too . both are working fine. unable to ping the printer IP. Im a very new helpdesk. plz help to troubleshoot further

  • Hi,

    (1) Please use "Advanced IP Scanner" (a freeware) in order to find IP address of your printer (and other devices).
    (2) Use PING command for checking if the printer is connected or found in your network.
    (3) Check if the printer is recognized in your PC: [Control Panel] - [View devices and printers] (in Hardware and Sound), and check if it is working normally.

    1 )Are your old site switch1 (which is problematical printer connected) and new site switch2 (which is problematical printer connected) in the same vlan( same network segment ) ?can you connect your laptop to the network switch 1 and
    network switch 2 port respectively which the printer connector ,then enter ipconfig /all in cmd the check the result ?

    ip address:
    subnet mask:
    default gateway:
    DNS server:
    laptop connect to the port which printer connect to network switch 1:
    network information of laptop
    ip address:
    subnet mask:
    default gateway:
    DNS server:
    laptop connect to the port which printer connect to network switch 2:
    ip address:
    subnet mask:
    default gateway:
    DNS server:

    2 )what's problematical printer detail model ?
    3 )when you connect your problematical printer to network switch 2,then look if  two RJ45 port
    Indicator light of printer is fresh?
    4 )
    is there ip conflict in new site so that your printer can not be recognized in new site ?
