  • My Mobile Hotspot was working fine until I upgraded to the latest Insider Build, one day ago. Clients can't get past the "Obtaining IP address..."  message. I've followed all the instructions of the following two threads, but nothing seemed to work for me:

  • Hello,

Try to perform Network Reset once and see if that helps:

    1. Open Settings app, click Network & Internet > Status > Network reset link.

    2. Now click on Reset button on next screen.

    3. In confirmation prompt appearing next, click Yes.

Let us know if this helps!

  • Thank you for your help, but I am still stuck at that point. I even reset network settings manually using CMD, reinstalled and updated the drivers, still nothing is working. I am not able to figure out the exact problem.

  • I've got the same problem but without insider build. Was working fine until recently, seems to coincide with "2019-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4524570)". Network reset did not help, changing password/network name did not help.

  • Please share the solution here if you are able to solve this problem. I have now upgraded to version 2004, but still having the same problem.
