How to remove line breaks in Excel cells RRS feed

    I tried the tutorial in Power Query 101. The data extracted from the web site has embedded line breaks in the Year column


    After removing the Details tet in the Replaced Value step, there are still embedded line breaks in the cells. How can I remove the embedded line breaks as a step in the query editor?

    Probably you are referring to this tutorial?

    I could replicate the issue.

    My suggestion would be to select the column and use Clean (Transform tab - Format - Clean), just after the step in which "Details"  is removed.

    Strange that this is not included in the tutorial, because cleaning text from input is a good practice.

    Good luck with further tutorials.
