Mouse and keyboard stop working at Windows7 login screen.


  • Whenever I forget to mouseClick inside the 'password' textbox before typing my password-at the Windows7 login screen, my mouse and keyboard stop working. Otherwise, all is ok.

  • Are yu using a USB HUB? If so bypass the HUB and plug directly into the USB ports.

    Update Drivers

    Go to the manufacturers website for the model of the machine and download the latest drivers.

    Re-Install USB controllers

    Start -> Type Device Manager

    Locate the section of Universal Serial Bus Controllers

    Remove each controller and restart the computer. The computer will recognize new devices and install them.

    I recommend testing the issue in Safe Mode. If the issue in Safe Mode disappears, please let me know in your reply.

    In addition, please update all drivers from OEM websites.
