SentTo-folder item is missing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi There!

I wrote a Visual Basic Script for the SentTo-folder to send paths and filenames of selected files and folders to an e-mail recipient, instead of attaching the files to the mail.

    The script is named

    __Send Link as Mail.vbs

    and resides in

    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

It worked both on my Windows 8.1 machine and my father's Windows 10 machine flawlessly.

However, while it still works on my machine, on my father's machine, for a couple of weeks the script is not displayed in Explorer when right-clicking and selecting "Sent To" anymore!

Could this be caused by a Security Update, like disallowing VBS in SentTo? I hardly can fathom another reason.

    Thanks for your support!!!

    L.

  • This change is effective for Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10 as of the July 9, 2019 cumulative updates.

  • Hi L.

You could try the methods in Comments to check result.

Windows 10: “Mail recipient” Missing from “Send to” Menu

    https://www.technipages.com/windows-10-mail-recipient-missing-from-send-to-menu

Also, if there is a 0 bytes entry second in the send to folder called Bluetooth, delete it. This is a bad file that stops the list from displaying
