32-bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable installation RRS feed

    I am trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (10.0.30319) on my Windows XP SP3 machine, but it is always failing. I downloaded redistributable from Microsoft website. Can someone suggest the solution. I also tried to install it on 32-bit Windows 7 machine, this also failed.

    Hi,

    it seems that for the file vc_red.cab the digital signature was validated, then, it became invalid. Download a fresh copy?
    is this logfile you attached, the one I have highlighted in bold?

    Hi,


    Firstly, please download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86), install it and see how it works.


    If issue persists, please run this Microsoft Fixit and test the issue again.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks, it worked. This is a different version of CRT though (10.0.40419.XX) rather 10.0.30319.XX. Was there any issue in older version of CRT?

    I have not found any information indicates there has any known issue in the older version. However, the latest version is always the better.
