Unable to Connect to the Internet RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I just recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate, 64-bit. However, I am completely unable to connect to the Internet. Normally, I use an Airlink101 AWLH5026 MIMO-XR PCI wireless card. Due to my being unable to get that to work, though, I've switched to an LAN connection for now. It's pluggeg into my router, which is plugged into my dsl modem, and I know it works just fine. I'm able to post this message from my laptop using a wireless card without a problem. However, the LAN line on my computer isn't working. I get a connect with "Limited or No Connectivity", and have yet to know what to do to fix it. I've tried just about everything, and am unable to make it work. Does anybody have any suggestions, or know how I can make this work?

  • You mentioned the make and model of your wireless card, but you didn't tell us any information regarding the NIC that you are using now that doesn't work.

I would start by running Start > Run > Cmd.

Type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes at the command prompt and post back the results.
