Any way to overwrite Favorites?

    Question

  • I have a very extensive IE Favorites folder I'd like to use with IE on Win 7, but can't find any way of replacing the nearly empty Favorites folder I got with a clean install.  IE will let me import one URL at a time, but I want to do the whole thing at once.  Anybody know how to do it?

    Thanks for your help.

Here is your solution.  The Favorites that is shown in IE8 is the same as the Favorites folder located under c:\users\xxxx\Favorites.  Drag all of your present shortcuts into this folder.  Once you have done that, you will now have them in IE8.

  • Have you tried to replace the Favorites Folder in Win 7 with a copy from some where else?
