What would be the implications of setting the Registry Key below on Windows 7.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
ClearPageFileAtShutdown = 0
The reason for asking is that some of our users are experiencing a slow shutdown on there machines.
The default value of ClearPageFileAtShutdown is 0, and when you set it to 1, it will clear the Windows paging file (Pagefile.sys) during the shutdown process.

If the shutdown process still take a long time with the value 0, you can let them boot the system to clean boot environment to have a check:
