Photoshop 6 & Photoshop 7 in Windows 7?

    Question

  • Will Photoshop 6 & Photoshop 7 install in Windows 7?

What, if any, limitations (incompatibilities) will I encounter running Photoshop 6 & Photoshop 7 in Windows 7?

  • It should work, if you encounter any compatible issue along the way, run it under vista compatible mode as following

  • Hi mawagu,

Please also understand that third party software has its own way to program codes and call corresponding system resources when installing and running. Therefore, it is recommended contacting Adobe directly to confirm whether Windows 7 is fully supported by Photoshop 6 and Photoshop 7.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

    Regards,

    Linda

  • Yes, Photoshop 7 will install, and run perfectly on Windows 7.
I just finished the install myself on my Windows 7 ultimate (32 bit) system.
No problems whatsoever. I also installed the update to ver 7.0.1, and all is well.

  • PhotoShop 7 runs fine under Win 7 (64 Bit) as well. Although having issues with the Meta Creations plug-ins. KPT 5, 6 and KPT Effects will work if you want to add user name and serial number each time they are used. This can be a real pain.

  • I can't get mine to install.  It just sits there and I can't locate an .exe file to open manually.

  • Wondered myself as it wouldn't even begin to install w/ Vista, but I'm pleased to find that it installed cleanly w/ & and so far appears to be functioning well.

Glad I didn't toss my investment when I thought it had become useless on any post XP PC.

Microsoft does not provide support for third party software.  Adobe is the appropriate place to seek support for their software!
