Windows 8 Pro install RRS feed

  • Question

  • I purchased Windows 8 Pro from TigerDirect a couple months ago, the actual CD package. Finally got around to installing it today. I put the cd into the cd drive to find out that the cd drive doesnt work. Is there a way to download Windows 8 Pro off the internet, onto my computer then enter the product key that came with the cd version i purchased?

  • Get a new CD/DVD drive.  That is the easiest and least expensive solution provided you already have the retail DVD.  If you don't want to purchase a new drive, see if you can at least borrow one.

  • There is no official Windows 8 Pro to download if you are not a subscriber user. If you want, you can download it from third party provider or forum, then create a bootable USB. After the installation, use your product key which you purcahsed with the CD package.
