  • Question

  • I got AMD Cataclyst 11.6 but when i plug in a HDMI cable(instead of DVI cable) it gives a stop error that has to do with some amd driver file(probably the HDMI drivers from them) I just can't get this to work.

Answers

  • "Hot plugging" or making video display connection with the devices powered on is not recommended.

Turn off display and computer, make connection, turn on display, boot computer.

HDMI is not like a USB connection.

You will eventually cause damage to the display or the display adapter.

  • Download and run the program that you can find at the following web address

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

It will scan your hard disk looking for crash dump files and getting as much informations as possible about the system crashes you're talking about; then, post more details here so we can try to find a solution.

    Bye.

please use Microsoft Skydrive to upload dump files (c:\windows\minidumps). Once done, post a link here.

You can also contact Microsoft CSS.
