I just updated to Vista SP 2 on a Lenovo ThinkPad T61, and I've noticed that, after a cold boot, or coming out of sleep mode, I now have to manually disconnect and reconnect to the wired LAN with Access Connections ("AC") 5.22 to achieve internet connectivity. I have not checked behavior with a WLAN. I uninstalled and reinstalled AC 5.22, no change. Both wired and wireless drivers are current. Has anyone else experienced this? I seem to remember SP2 increase the number of half-open TCP ports from 10 to unrestricted, but that's the only change to networking that I'm aware of. Has anyone else replicated this issue? I think AC may be partly incompatible with Vista SP2, perhaps due to changes in the network stack?
I just updated to Vista SP2 on Vista Business. After the boot, I experienced the same with WLAN, AC version 4.42 and Lenovo Thinkpad R61. And it happens if I reboot the system, once again.
