can not login with Domain user account RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a Windows 8 Professional desktop that is connected to our Windows 2003 small office domain.  All was fine until recently when the user was asked to change his password.   Afterward, he was not able to login with his new password but was able to login with his OLD password.  I believe he is really logging in locally because after he logs in with the old password the only way he is able to access network resources is when he clicks the resource, and then he is prompted to login with his new password.  So, he has to login first with his old password then with his NEW password when he accesses a domain resource.
How can we resolve this?  All other computers are Windows 7 or windows xp and they work fine.
When he logs into a Windows 7 or Windows XP computer his NEW password works fine.
    Thanks

  • Please try to delete the user profile on Windows 8, then login with new password for a test.

  • Try to restart the machine and verify that the computer is connected to a domain not a workgroup.
