Limited wifi connection issue after upgrading to Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

The issue which concerns me most is Wireless Limited Connection(not able to access internet). When I tried troubleshooting, it says "the default gateway is not available" which was fixed. Again with in couple of secs, the connection changes to limited. I did not face this issue while using earlier versions of windows. Other laptops, mobiles are working fine with the wireless connection except the one which is having windows 10.

When I use wired connection, it works fine.

Please have a look and give a solution on this.

    Thanks.

  • what kind of wireless gateway are you using?  Is it a technicolour branded one?  there are some issues with the way technicolour does dns that causes issues with Win 8.1 and Win 10.

perhaps, to test rule out dynamic DNS, set your dns servers on the wifi connection manually to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (google public dns)
