I have a Vista SP3 client that is configured to run chkdsk at boot. Moreover, after chkdsk runs, it finds no errors, reboots the machine, and then runs again. Furthermore, it does not recognize the keyboard bypass, so I can never get to a logon screen.
I have tried running chkntfs /x from the recovery command prompt, but this has no effect.
Is there a way I can edit the registry of an installation from the recovery command prompt?
