Disabling Bluetooth Pairing passcodes RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows 7 had an option in its bluetooth settings that allowed you to pair a device without a pairing passcode. I used this option which I used extensively in the past. Windows 8 no longer seems to have this option. This loss of functionality means that I can not successfully pair a device that needs to be paired without a passcode.

Is there any way I can disable the bluetooth pairing passcode requirement in Windows 8/8.1?

    Any help gratefully received.
