Windows XP SP3 patch for HP AMD based system released by HP

    HP has released a patch for AMD based systems. It requires a patch  download that must be installed prior to installing the XP SP3 update.

    Download file size:      1.85M

    System Requirements 

    ·  You must be logged on as an administrator to install this update.

    ·  You must own an HP Pavilion, Presario or Media Center with Windows XP and an AMD processor.

    ·  You must install this update prior to applying Windows XP SP3 update.

  • i know this is a really old problem and all but i have ignored the SP3 update until now (when i installed the update i had the problem and had to use system restore) and when i downloaded that and executed it I got this error message:

    (there was a red stop sign here)3052: Uninitialized variable, undefined function, or unquoted string

    and it won't continue after that it just quits, does anybody know what to do?
