    Question

  • Neither of these will install on win7.  2008 says its compatible with win7, but win7 tells me it will have problems, and when i run it, it throws up the following error

    See the end of this message for details on invoking

    ************** JIT Debugging **************

    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

    application or computer (machine.config) must have the

    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

    The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>

        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    Tried installing .net 35 but the installer does nothing (literally).

    Tried installing SSMSEE 2005, and that fails towards the end while "Setting file security" with an error 29506

    Is there anything special I have to do to install either of these on win7?  The 2008 MSEE says its win7 compatible on the download page.
