Window 7 Mirrored Boot Drive Failed Redundancy "The Plex is Missing"

    Question

  • I tried to mirror my1g boot drive with to a 2g drive and came up with the following problem.

Failed Redundancy on both drives.  When I try to Reactivate the drive I get a message "the plex is missing."  How do I recover from this?

  • Hi,

I would like to confirm the following details:

    1.    What is your 1G boot drive?

    2.    How did you mirror this drive? Which program did you use to achieve this purpose?

  • My C drive that has Windows on it is my boot drive which is on 1 gig of storage

I used Windows 7 Prof to create a mirror of drive C to a second drive that is 2 gigs storage which  is a WD brand new drive.

  • one GB or one TB?

I am assuming they are already, but make sure the disks are dynamic and not basic.

If these are TB drives, use diskpart.exe to convert them from a MBR type setup to GPT.
