SCCM passive server implementation stuck at SQL server admin error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi ,

Is anyone know how to get pass this error? We are performing the SCCM HA implementation and all the pre-requisites and permissions are already in place but still we are getting the SQL server admin check failure.

"Failed Verifies that the user account running Config  manager setup has been granted SQL server role permissions in the SQL server instance selected for site database installation."

  • Hi,

Would you mind to double check if the user account that runs Configuration Manager setup has the sysadmin role on the SQL Server instance that you selected for site database installation.?

Meanwhile, try to connect to SQL Server instance by udl on the machine to see if it can success:

    Hope it can help.

    Best regards.

  • It was related to DB. DB team created server alias on the server which fixed the issue. Thank you all
