Windows 10: no more sound after an update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Two days ago, I accepted an "important update" of  Windows 10. At the end of the update install, the system asked me some questions on a blue screen.

But after this update I don't have any sound in my headset :(

I have the sound icons in the status bar. But no sound !

    What can I do ?

    Thanks for your help

  • Hi,

Does the sound work at all or is it just with your headset?

Make sure you have selected Headphones as the default option if you're using a headset.

    1) Go to Start and search for "Control Panel" and hit Enter.

    2) Go to Hardware and Sound.

    3) Click on Sound.
Your Sound devices might look as below, make sure the Headphones is set to Default.

You may see a Speaker/Headphones icon instead of just Headphones, make sure that the Speaker/Headphones is set to the Default device.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Leon
