Office starter will not load.

    Question

  • I had to reset to factory settings on my new HP because of non related, I think, hard drive issues.  Everything seems fine except now Office Starter will not load.  "Contact Micosoft" says the error message.  After nearly an hour I cannot find one solution but I have found it costs $40.00 to get Chat assisstance.   My opinion of Microsoft Office and support?  = TOO Obscene to type here.

I wanted to continue trying out MS Office, I was prepared to like it after using Word since 05 but LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR THE QUAGMIRE THAT IS MS!!  MS and QUICKEN practice the same style of customer service/abuse.

      OFF TO DOWNLOAD OPENOFFICE !!!

Don't bother to answer this I won't be back.   Sincerely, PCox Idaho

  • Hi,

You can try to login with Clean Boot and reinstall Office starter to see if the same issue occurs.

Furthermore, I suggest to contact Office Forum for further help:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.  Thank you for your understanding.

  • Our hard driver recently crashed and I had to restore my Dell Inspiron PC to factory settings and now I can't load Microsoft Office Starter either.  I tried doing the clean boot and it got farther up in the percentage before it told me that there was a problem and to try again.  I keep trying again and it keeps not working.
