In-place upgrade does not work RRS feed

  • If i mount the server 2012 r2 iso on a windows 2008 R2 server and run the command setup.exe /auto:upgrade nothing happens.

    To move on, please help to confirm the following situations:

    1. Have you tried opening an Administrator command prompt and running the command?

    2. If you mount the ISO on D:, you should specific the source in command like this: D:\Source\setup.exe.

  • no it is the same problem

    Says setup is copying temprary files - setup is starting and then it dies.

    i can browse to c:\$WINDOWS.~BT\sources

    and run Setup.exe /runlocal /BTFolderPath:C:\$WINDOWS.~BT /OSImagePath:"Z:\sources" 

    That does work but not good. because it will not run silent
