  • Running windows 10 1903 - with hyper-v installed

    PXE boot a vm 1 gen with legacy network adaptor - for running windows 7

    getting this image - but it boot fine under win10_1809

    Have you replaced other windows 7 ISO Image to do a test? 

    I would suspect this issue is more related with ISO image.

  • im not boot up on any iso file... Im tryin to pxe boot so i can install os over SCCM.

    Thanks for your clarifying. Please understand, I am not familiar with SCCM, Virtualization forum doesn't focus on it. I have consulted with my colleague who is more familiar with SCCM.

    The picture looks like in a download stage. Is it right?

    When it is downloading, it will search DP to get boot image and some files.

    Are there any error messages when the download fails? Did you use gen 2 VM to do a check?

    If the issue is related with download, you could have this asked in SCCM forum for details.

  • I think 10 1903 has some issue with legacy boot in vm

    Cause my colleague running Win10 1809 works fine - only diff is our os version.

    So SCCM is working as it should it the HyperVisor in windows 10 1903 that is brick when using legacy network card boot op. using normal networks fine too but when we roll windows you we use legacy pxe boot

    It seems that there might be some early adopter issues at this time with Windows 10 1903, if possible, I would recommend you wait a bit until Windows 10 1903 matures with future cumulative updates.

    If the issue is urgent, I would suggest you open a case with Microsoft where more in-depth investigation can be done so that you would get a more satisfying explanation and solution to this issue.
