Software download issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I downloaded a file which contains a program that I need to use for work. I extracted the file from a zip file and I have the FGBAssistant.exe file on my desktop. Whenever I try to run the FGBAssistant.exe file by either double clicking on the .exe icon or or whenever I right click on the file and attempt to run the file as an administrator I get the following message:" FGBAssistant.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Any ideas what this may be happening? I have 2 other programs from this company to download and I get the same error message when I try to download those too.

I am running 32 bit Vista Home Premium Service pack 2 is there any fix for this. I really have no interest to upgrade to windows 7 at this time. I would like to fix this problem. Any help or direction you could give me would be appreciated. I really don't know too much about computers but I do follow directions well.

  • 1. Is this program for Vista operating system? Have you met program prerequisites?

    2. As this is vendor specific problem, ask vendor's support for help.

    3. Chances are that you have run this program incorrectly. It may need "Run as Administrator". This is running with elevated rights.
