uninstall KB2952664 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Over a fortnight ago we installed this KB on all our machines. As it's company policy too, from our Wsus server. Some days later machines (Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise edition, 32 bit and 64 Bit Connected to a domain) started locking, going back to the CTRL ALT Delete screen whilst users were using keyboard. Users at first thought it to be caused by them pressing something on there keyboards. The only thing that has changed on all PC's are windows updates and MacAfee Anti Virus software updates. That week there were only 2 windows updates. the rest being Office 2013 updates. So I did some research on net, found that each time this update has been pushed its caused various problems. To see if cause was the windows updates We have stopped both updates from being pushed out.

Uninstalled KB3170735 which relates to Windows Journal which we do not use. This came off but problem persists.

As we could not push uninstall from the WSUS for KB2952664, no option. We have uninstalled it manually, Uninstall ran through no errors, rebooted machine. checked that it had gone, IT HAD NOT still showing in view windows updates.

I have tried wusa /uninstall /kb:2952664 this too failed

How do we take this off our machines.
