Language selection for Windows 7 home premium

    Question

  • upgrade to windows 7 home premium does not allow language choice for English from French. Any suggestions on how to obtain the English language choice?

    the language packs are available for ultimate and enterprise users only

    you can upgrade to higher version to access different languages.

    cross language upgrade not possible as mentioned by original poster above.

    if you wish to go with English you need to clean install of Home premium English version.
    for clean install you need to buy full version.

    click the link for a tool and follow the procedure to change the language

  • If you are trying to upgrade a French version of Windows to an English version of Windows that is not pssible, you can only do so called in-place upgrades from and to the same language, in your case French to French.

  • Hi Nikhil...

    Thanks for the tip on Vistalizer at froggie.sk.  It works very well indeed. I wish Windows would have included this feature for all versions of Windows since it makes for truly international functioning. I can not imagine any operating system selling to the world market without having language selection as an integral part of the software. Thanks again!
