Skipping drivers in Microsoft Deployment Tool RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello there

We use MDT to set up various clients for our company or our customers. In the past months we sometimes encountered the problem, that the Task Sequence gets error, that i can't reconnect to the MDT share because the network driver is missing.

In the Log File we might have found the problem, the driver is being skipped because "No 3rd party drivers found".

We don't understand why this happens and couldn't find anything online we haven't done yet.

    Thanks in advance,
    Joshua

  • Hi Joshua,

Thanks for posting in TechNet. Please add the latest NIC driver of the specific client model to have a try next time.

May we know if the MDT is integrated with SCCM?

If yes, the MDT is integrated with SCCM. It's firstly recommended to review the smsts.log on the clients to see if there is any further information. Please refer to:
SCCM: How to copy SMSTS.log when a Task Sequence fails

If not, to get better support, it's recommended to submit a thread in MDT forums. Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,
    Simon

  • Hi Simon

    Thank you for your answer.

We will try your suggestion, but because we don't have MDT integrated to SCCM, I will post to the MDT forum if we have further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Joshua
