  To disable test-signing, use the following BCDEdit command:

  Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF

  Note: After you change the TESTSIGNING boot configuration option, restart the computer for the change to take effect.

  To enable test-signing, use the following BCDEdit command:

  Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

  I found this thread looking specifically for security information as it relates to running Windows 7 in Test Mode. On my computer I have downloaded an application that I've been using to assist in tracking down some programming issues involving open files. I allowed the downloaded program to turn test signing on to enable it to function on my 64-bit Windows installation.

  As in the original post here, I can't seem to find any really useful information regarding how having test signing enabled, affects on-going security issues in Windows. I understand how to enable and disable the mode, but I'd rather not have to do that every time I want to run the downloaded app.

  So the question remains: is my computer particularly vulnerable in any way, every minute that test signing is enabled?

  ive done the steps, still persist with only  "Windows 7 build 7601" no any other watermark like "Test Mode". please help, much appreciated. thanks!
