SCCM software update error - Cannot find object or property. 0x80092004 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We deployed monthly patches to our environment machines.

    as checked there are lot of machines pending at error state and all of them are 

    error description - Cannot find object or property, error code - 0x80092004

    as per -https://www.ghacks.net/2019/08/15/if-you-get-windows-update-error-0x80092004-on-windows-7-or-server-2008-r2-do-this/  , i tried this manually and it was working

    deployed same for few test machines. now got below error in WUA Handler

    Since its huge count, it cannot be resolved machine by machine. 

    can you please share the SCCM end resolution to do the bulk troubleshoot

    Check Windows udpate.log for any more errors

    Also try the below command and check again,

    Run Command Prompt(Admin), type cd\ and press ENTER.

    Type net stop wuauserv and press the ENTER key.

    Type ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old and press the ENTER key.

    Type: net start wuauserv and press the ENTER key.

    Type: exit and press the ENTER key

  • Also ensure you have installed SHA-2 code signing support update on these machines, for more details check the below article

    Are you trying to install the KB4474419 and KB4490628 and then it works?

    Could you please advise which updates are deployed?
