  • hi,

    I have aquestion about memory.  when I go to system in control panel  I see my installed memory is 8 GB  and (7,86 is usable)

    what happens  then with the ,14 of memory.  which processes use it? it been used by video card or something else?

  • things like the base 1MB are allocated for BIOS services. Same for some of the extended memory. What is left is for the OS.

    The video card uses some of that lower space and some extended memory space above the main memory.
