Windows 7 Professional - Language Pack

    Question

  • Hi all, I've install Windows 7 Professional English on my pc and now I want to change language.
I've downloaded Language Pack DVD installation kit, but in the Control Panel, under Language, I can't switch language. The option in not show.
On Microsfot website i've seen that only in Ultimate version can change language pack.
    It is true?
With Professional version of Windows 7 I can't change?

    Thanks all.

    Hi Matteo

This is correct. The MUI Language Packs are only for the Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise version.

    Regards,

Thank You for testing Windows 7

  • Can I update my Windows 7 from Professional to Enterprise?
I have a OSL contract with Microsoft and I've download Windows 7 from Microsoft Licensing Site.

    Thanks.

  • I'm sorry... now I ve seen in Microsoft Licensing site that, in Software Assurance, there is Windwows 7 Enterprise upgrade.
Now I download it and try to update.

    Kind regards.

  • You can install language pack to windows 7 professional, if u download Visualisator 2.30 Beta (u have to try a lot of sites) and your desired language pack. and install it with that.

  • For other Windows users please be aware that this method may violate the enduser license agreement made between you and Microsoft corporation along with applicable State and Federal laws regarding modifying system components and software piracy. The language packs from the vistalizator web site are illegaly distributed copies and the tool recommended here tampers with the operating system in such a way that may violate the EULA to allow the use of the pirated language packs from that web site.

  • Really??? I don't want violate license but only change my language with the Language Pack downloaded from Microsoft Licensing website... :(

1 question... on Microsoft Volume Licensing website I find Windows 7 Professional in English and the Language Pack.
Why I can't change my language if the language pack is downloadable?
Why Microsoft distribute Language Pack for Professional version of Windows 7 if I can't change it?
