error 1723 when installing java

    i have a very frustrating problem i am running windows 7 rc1 with Windows ® Installer. V 5.0.7100.0 and everytime i try to install java i get this

    "error code 1723. There is a problem with this Windows
    Installer package. A DLL required for this install to
    complete could not be run. Contact your support
    personnel or package vendor."

    i have tried reg cleaners and the windows installer cleanup tool but i still get this error please anyone can you help me???

    Please make sure you have latest java from this site : http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
