Sysprep /oobe / generalize /shutdown /unattend:unattend.xml RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My sysprep image works a treat (after some struggle of discovering default profile and pinning drivers in sysprep)

ANYWAY, my problem is that when i deploy any new images it remembers the path to sysprep, ie when i type a path say in explorer, law and behold I enter c:\ and up come the full path to sysprep the same in the run and searcg box etc "c:\windows\system32\sysprep"

strange I run sysprep from the command prompt not the run box, obviously there is a step that I am not performing as the very last command i have to type on the computer is as follows

    sysprep /oobe /generalize /shutdown /unattend:unattend.xml

  • All images that are deployed will have a folder location of "c:\windows\system32\sysprep". This folder even exist if you install the machine with a basic windows 7 dvd.
