I had previously had the same failure that I'm having now with my Realtek RTL 8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0). I think the problem was corrected by a Windows Update. Now Windows Update has taken
away. You have to go into the device manager and disable the network adapter and then enable the adapter to get it to work. You can uninstall, reinstall, try other versions, change off the network setting, non of which will fix this problem.
