  • Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum.

    1. New Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2019 has many benefits for all Windows 10 devices, including the special-purpose devices in your environment; Microsoft renamed their CBB Version, with feature updates every six months

    2. New LTSC 2019 which provides only security and quality updates with no new features over a 10-year period.

  • Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. Windows 10 IoT LTC 2019: Clock accurate to seconds, Task bar Transparent, Remove shortcut names and small arrows, Beautify volume adjustment, Hide libraries, favorites, homegroup, network, quick access in Explorer navigation, Enable win Photo Viewer, Disable many useless right-click menus; There are no preinstalled apps in this release, not even edge browsers, app stores, Onedrive, cortana, etc

Compared to LTSB 2016, font rendering is a little better, custom scaling is not so troublesome, the Start menu has also improved.

    2. About Windows automatic update, may still need to test.

    Best regards,

  • I'm actually out of W10 embedded these days.

You can permanently knobble windows update by killing a pile of tasks and services. In short a pain but it works.

I wrote a powershell script to do this (and a lot more damage, mentioning no names *CORTANA*) I'll try to make an update only knobbler soon.
