  • Question

  • Hello Team,

I am using Cisco NAC functionality, - connecting to VPN, than posture assessment should take place. Before you are compliant, all your traffic is being redirected (expected), windows 10 detects it and through an popup, that additional data is required and proposes to open a browser. Also there is functionality to remember this choice.

Question:How I can revert the change? To make sure, just pop up is displayed proposing to open the browser, instead of browser popping up automatically.

  • If the default browser is Internet Explorer and you know the URL of the pop-up, you can add an exception in Pop-up locker Settings found on the Privacy tab of Internet Options.

If the default browser is Microsoft Edge, you can add exceptions to the pop-up blocker at

    HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\New Windows\Allow.

Add the desired URLs as Binary keys.

If the Cisco app is responsible for presenting the pop-up or making the required configuration changes to allow the pop-up, as Deason Wu pointed out, you will need to raise the issue with Cisco.
