Windows Media Player error C00D0FD6

    Question

  • I have a new computer with Windows 7.  I was trying to add a recently purchased CD to my Windows Media Player to upload to my iPod.  After uploading my CD I had no sound at all on my computer and received the following message when I tried to use Windows Media Player which was already installed on my laptop when I purchased it.

    Windows Media Player error C00D0FD6

I had sound before this problem occured.  I cannot reset my computer to an early time/date because I hadn't backed up.  Can I fix this problem or download a newer version of Windows Media Player.  How do I get my sound back?
