VLC Player not downloading on Windows 7

    Question

  • I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop which I purchased one month ago. I have Windows 7 on it and have been trying to download VLC Media player for ages...this morning I called Toshiba and told them that I get this continuous error message "NSIS error-application not launching"...they called be to go the NSIS page and try the suggestions listed which I did...I thoroughly scanned my laptop and there are no viruses at all. I tried redownloading VLC media player but to no avail. Can anyone help? Can you pls email me in private at Liz_Tarducci@hotmail.com

  • Hi,

verify that the download port is open in your firewall, (or you can disable your firewall temporarily but it is not recommended), and if you can use another site to download VLC

  • Hi,

I can use VLC Media Player on Windows 7 without any problem. Please download it from its official site.

If the issue persists, I suggest post in VLC forum to get more accurate assistance.
