  • rename the DLL to name.dll.old. Does Office still work? Do you still have crashes?

  • Ok seemed to have fixed it. I ran a repair installation of office and restarted and presence is working properly and IE is not crashing.

  • 1. Could you specify in more details what you are trying to achieve?

    2. Generally 0xc0000005 is access violation.

  • Sorry "Internet explorer has stopped working" window appears and only option is to choose Close program. Whenever I try to view site permissions or list settings anything behind the scenes in sharepoint it will crash.

    (remove the .txt extension after you downloaded the file) and make a double click on the .reg file to import it.

    When the Internet Explorer crashes, Windows Error Reporting Service [1] creates a dmp file under C:\Localdumps. Please upload the file to your public Skydrive [2] folder and post the link here. I take a look at the dump with the Debugger, maybe I can see which Addon/Toolbar is the cause.

  • Ok figured out what it is used for. It is for presence when someone is online or not. If I rename the dll to old no more crashing. Others do not have this issue.

  • ok, so it looks like the file was corrupted for an unknown reason. Nice to heat hat it is fixed now :)
