Right Click Causes Freeze

    Question

  • Twice today I have right clicked - once on "Start" and once on "Homegroup" in Network window and my computer completely froze requiring a manual turnoff. The first problem did not repeat a second time. The second one did. Is anyone else having similar problems?

  • I think I found the problem. There are some programs which install an option in the right click context menu. One of these (i forgot which one) was incompatible with Win7. Once it was uninstalled the problem went away.

  • I am able to right click on both and select options without any issues.

Do you have any device conflicts on your Device Manager?
