SBS 2011 - VPN status is OFF after reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • The owner wants to use a VPN to connect to his 2 workstations at the office when he is out of town. Recently in the last 3 weeks the VPN has been turning off after a server reboot.

In the SBS console under "Network" and under "Connectivity" tab you can see the VPN Connection the status is always off after the weekly reboot. I have to re-enable it each week.

I could not find a resolution on line so I have to turn to my fellow peers for help. Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Firstly, please check the event log to see if any related reason for this issue. Please also make sure that you have installed all the latest updates.

You can check the Services and make sure if any service starts to run when you enable the VPN connection. Then, you can change the startup type of those services to automatic.

    Best regards,

    Susie
