  • Hi,

I agree with @pierre. ADMT is a free tool from Microsoft used for migrating Active Directory objects to a new domain. ADMT will allow you to move users, computers, groups, and service accounts to a new domain created in a new forest (inter-forest) or the existing forest (intra-forest).

  • It will be ADMT if you can have a trust relationship between the source and the destination domains. If the trust cannot be created for specific reasons then you need to look to some third party tools.

  • Can ADMT be used for moving the AD forest of Domain X (Company 1) to an existing, separate Domain Y (Company 2... which already has about 100 users)?

  • Hi,

This is answered post so maybe you can create a new post and ask the question.

In short the answer is yes and you will have to verify all the Firewall ports are open between the company to allow the comms.
