Netsh network trace error messages RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I look up and resolve netsh network trace error messages?
I'm having trouble establishing a VPN connection from a Windows 10 client to a remote RRAS server.  I see error messages in the client's network trace messages, but I cannot find out what they mean when searching bing or google.  These are my error messages:

  • Hi CRBW,

Did you use the Windows 10 built-in VPN client? What's error message when you attempt to connect to RRAS server via VPN?

Please check the following registries value:

These 2 registry hives are affected

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\EAP\25 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\EAP\13

The values of the following keys under EAP should be C:\System32\rastls.dll

    · ConfigUiPath

    · IdentityPath

    · InteractiveUIPath

    · Path

Meanwhile, turn off your anti-virus and Firewall to see if the issue goes away.
