how to remove adminitrator account without using administrator? RRS feed

  • Hi mitsake.

    Only an administrative user can remove an administrator account from a Windows machine: if you cannot use the built-in Windows Administrator account, you need to have another one to complete such a task.

    First, we could add standard user account to administrator group with the command line below. (we should run command as admin)

    net localgroup administrators username /add

    Then login system with the new username and go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts\Manage Accounts to delete other admin account.
